So I just got fired from my job. I was hired as a supervisor I asked a worker to not use a steel hammer on the structure as the manufacturer didn't want that to happen. He tried to hit me in the head with it. He was aggravated and aggressive with me for quite a few days because I was constantly having to tell him to put his safety glasses on or his harnesses and I got fired after he tried to hit me with a hammer. They said that I violated the cell phone policy. I took pictures of him not using his harness and video of him talking back to me about not having to tie off. I called OSHA because I told my supervisor what was going on and that they were in danger of falling she yelled at me and said they were her workers and they can do what they want. So I called OSHA to inspect the fall hazard situation and I was fired the next day

In other words protesting doesn't work. Why? Because the people your protesting decide when, where, and how long you get to protest lol

Also if the cops feel sufficiently threatened or annoyed by the subject of your protest (or possibly if they are under political pressure to do so) they may engage in other tactics/activities that put you at risk:

-Firing less than lethal munitions into a crowd, or even at individuals
-boxing protesters in before ordering dispersal. This seems to be followed by arrests, though sometimes it’s beatings and arrests
-identifying individuals to be picked up later (rare, but it has happened in recent years)
-receiving special charges for being present during a riot, even if you were prevented from leaving by police when violence broke out
-being plowed into by police or counter protesters

I have only listed special circumstances from actual protests in recent years.

I was illegally arrested, beat, and had my phone go thru my phone and try to delete the vodeo when the police stopped me at a protest. I got my dismissed but couldn't get the police in trouble. I also called the ACLU about 5 times. They didn't even return my call and no lawyer took the case, the judge and DA refused to press charges, and the governor or police authorities didn't get the rookies in trouble. Now those cops are superivisors. You should see their statements, 6 cops and everyone had a different story lying about what they saw.

Police need accountability, the fact I couldn't hold the dirty pigs responsible for what they did to me shows me we are at a crossroads for the police. Eventually everyone's gonna hate them
