Dark Water and Pocono Browns | Fly Fishing PA |

I decided to take a day trip up to Northeastern PA for some wild trout. The first stream did not start off great, no access where in the larger section, so I settled for an approved trout water in the smaller, upper reaches. Managed to catch some fish. Nothing big, but they were gorgoeus fish. Enjoy!

Date fished: 10/17/2021

Rod: 10' 3w Orvis Clearwater
Reel: Orvis Clearwater II

I love techy little streams like this that have lots of holding water. Looks fun!

That’s a real good looking Pocono tributary & great spawning habitat. I’ve fished the Battenkill R & it’s tributaries, some no wider than 10’ across. NYS DEC implants micro tags & tracks the browns via radio telemetry in the Fall. Some browns migrate up to 15 miles to spawn.

Never seen anyone handle a flyrod like you do. Interesting

Maybe try to not let those natives bounce off all those rocks damaging their slicks and maybe more?
