A good solution might be using straps with curved spring bars

Just cut the leather strap in the manner that fits the bracelet, sand it over with a high grit sandpaper, and you have a very good leather strap.

Think how gross Omega, Breitling, zenith are that properly finish their watches so you (that spent thousands on said watch) can have it as you want. I get the point Adrian and love you, but man this is stretching it!

If a company does design decissions Not to improve their product, but to control the interfaces and the use, maybe that a good time to switch to another brand

It’s an easy fix you just need end link adapter that has a loop for your strap

I’m constantly changing my ‘97 Sub 16610 bracelet for straps. The drilled lugs make it easy and I have 10 straps that do not rub and fit perfectly. I also picked up 2 Rolex buckles.

Unless you make your own straps. Not only is it beneficial to learn how to maintain your own watches but well rounded watchmakers are also great at leather working Or should be at least in my own mind.

I would agree. The end links are part of the case and so straps mess up the design.

This for thousands of dollars or a Casioak for 200 that you can change almost instantly into a whole different watch with the case and strap mods

Switched my bracelet around and got a couple of rubber everest straps for my Submariner The quality is unreal on those straps.

Omega does this too & they are C&ntZ for doing it. I’ll decide what strap I like to wear that day. Remove the lugs and place strap into position, don’t thread it through.
