Ayrton Senna TAG Heuer Link watch

Ayrton Senna's TAG Heuer also marked the reveal of the Senna Collection comprised of Five new special-edition timepieces. Each watch features the famous stylized Senna ‘S’ on the dial, case back and bezel, complete with a tachymeter scale, giving the timepiece real racing spirit and Senna’s performance touch. The iconic ‘Legend’ bracelet, with its S-shaped links, also makes a return – the same style worn by Ayrton but redesigned and rounded for optimum comfort.

Aryton Senna was, in fact, a TAG Heuer brand ambassador and "his" models helped pave a path for the Link collection. What is also salient about Ayrton Senna this year is that his face appeared on legacy advertisements with the "Don't Crack Under Pressure" slogan. If you've been paying attention, that same slogan is back (with a hashtag - #DontCrackUnderPressure)

The screw case back and dial bear the signature, in yellow color, like the famous Senna helmet. Under the sapphire glass, the black dial features a tachymeter scale, 12-hour and 30-minute chronograph registers and an aperture for the date at 3.

"Senna specials", all limited editions as follow:

- Ref. CT2114, 2001, limited to 1991 pieces, as Ayrton Senna won his last F1 world drivers championship in 1991
- Ref. CT2115, 2002, the present watch
- Ref. CT5114, 2003, limited to 4000 pieces
- Ref. CJF2113, 2004, limited to 2004 pieces, to mark the 10th anniversary of Senna's death (1994).

Just bought the first gen Senna. Your vid helped me choose. I think it was the "embossed" vs painted statement that pushed me that way. I just got it yesterday. Absolutely beautiful watch. Everything you said about it, is true. Oh, and I really like the mirage double S in the face that shows up if you tilt the watch a bit...you see the Senna SS spear. Very classy watch!

Great Watch, they changed the name to carrera but kept the link bracelet because Carerra is their automotive line of watches
