Great video thanks. One question. My plug in electric drill struggled and smokes. So I’m going to run an air drill next. Spinning the pump feels a heavy drag is this normal ? I’m using 10W40 oil. I worried that the distributor gear will sheer with the load.

Dumb question. So is the time window between priming and first start up a big deal? Just wondering if doing it while still on the stand could have been for illustration purposes only type of thing.

Thanks for the vid! I see you mentioned counterclockwise on the drill. That the same for most Fords? I'm planning on priming an 82 Mustang. Also, when you turn the crank, is that counterclockwise as well (if you are facing the engine from the front of car)?

You didn’t say if you’re going counterclockwise or clockwise with the pump

My 289 is a 1/4 deep socket for the oil priming Distr. shaft

Have you dummy checked the kooks headers in the car yet, and if so did you have to take the master cylinder and steering shaft off to install?
