I wish they would add a "randomise" button to it so you could just keep rerolling until you got one you liked

A good way to have the best of both worlds is that the curse is based off of your gold horders level. That way you aren't stuck with nothing but you also will have a 70% covered gold curse at level 75

It wasn’t completely random. There was around 7 different patterns(from the existing gold hoarders) and when you unlocked the curse, you’d basically receive one of them. Honestly the should just let us equip whatever pattern we want at will. They still have them since they were pre-existing.

I personaly think the gold curse should represent how much gold you have in the bank, with a 100% curse let say 100mill.
that way it kinda have an extra thing so the curse do something an have the natural change to it, an you could just randomize where it spread an degrease from, to make a lot of unique pattens an kinda make senses for a curse that make you greed gold.
but hate they change the curse. my was pretty cool, still have a couple of pics.

I just wish we could mix curses, have stuff like gold and ghost. or ghost and skeleton, or ashen ghost, etc

Man, my original gold curse didn’t have much to it, but I loved how it looked. Especially with the cloth eyepatch cause it looked like my pirate was trying to hide it. Really wish I could get that design back

I think they should have given the option to pick either a randomized option or a set gold curse incase you didn't like your gold curse pattern, maybe give the option that lets you reset your gold curse after a certain amount of time and for a certain amount of gold (not to short to make getting a cool pattern a trivial thing though)

I just found out about this (since I never touched a tall tale in my life). Man that was so insanely cool. I do get people complaining about getting only a gold ear or finger, so then JUST CHANGE THE GENERATION FORMULA so it covers idk, 40% of your body as you said. Having a randomise button as people suggested takes away the excitement of what are you going to get in my opinion.

I remember when grinding for this curse the harrowing fights I went through just to avoid being sunk and starting the tall tale over. Now you got your checkpoints though.

id love something like a randomizer button, where each time you hit the button, or maybe each time you equip the curse, its something different, only changing once you take the curse off. that way, your curse isnt the same as everyone else's but you can still change the look so you dont get stuck with only 1% of your body cursed

I think they could make it so it's got a specific "density" in different "zones" and that would make it random but still really consistent.

Would have made an option just a small button to roll how it looks on your body every time and have a one save quick slot for one you really liked. A bit much for one curse maybe but 40 hours is enough to make me code that plus it’s like the one thing that makes it better for both sides. All over or one hand gold man idk 🤷‍♀️ have fun with it is what I would want to see.

or yknow, they just add alittle button to reroll it in the vanity chest, or just have it reroll when you equip it, allowing to keep reequipping until you get something you want. Or an option to use the randomized curse or a preset one. That way if you wanna just slap it on and not deal with the fuss of rerolling to get something good you can.

Same could be down the the ashen curse, and honestly all curses. Make em unique by having this random amount of curse applied to you each time you equip it (or a preset default one). It could add so much more variety and personalization to your pirate. If you want one crispy ashen arm just like stitcher jim or one bone arm like wanda you could do so. It could be really cool.
