They're always wanting black people to let it go and move on, why still doing the acts that they're protesting about.

That song should never be accepted by the majority . That's a madness.

I have bever sung that song since it was imposed on schools in 1966. I will never sing any part of it as part of the national anthem,

Asking Black South Africans to not only accept, but to actively sing that part of the National Anthem insensitive and is like asking descendants of the holocaust to accept the Swastika as their national symbol and to place it in their homes, or asking an African American to tolerate and fly a symbol of a rope on their national flag, just to prove some sense of “unity” and “forgiveness.” On the contrary, being forced to come into contact with extremely painful symbols of the past does not elicit unity. It instead serves as a reminder of past pain and injustice. If you want forgiveness, it cannot be achieved by constantly forcing a people to face symbols of their own repression.

That song is not beautiful, nor does it "unify" the people. Unless they are speaking of a FORCED unity like the Colonizer's forcing themselves on the original SA people and lands.

I applaud the EFF ORGANIZATION. Compromise can bring one to a place of demise.

What forgiveness? We must never forgive those that never ask for forgiveness. Those that still see our people as less than they are. To he ll with forgiveness.

That black man speaking in favor of singing the boers anthem is a good representation of the problems faced by pan-Africanist worldwide. Until we unshackle ourselves of sellouts like him, we will never be able to combat the serious issues that we are faced with. Why must we always be the ones to concede? Wasn't it enough that we allowed the boer to stay in south Africa with the land that they stole? Or to keep the businesses that enriched them?or to continue to be represented in government? History has shown that if you give them an inch, they'll take a mile. Like John Henrik Clarke said, "we have no friends";so we must depend on each other and stop looking for our proven enemies to help us

This is the main reason I’ve never cared to visit South Africa. It’s history and the kinds of people still there…. I just don’t have the desire to mingle with them.

I think they must sing that thing in Orania. Surely in Orania they don't even sing in our language.
