605lb Sumo 0.5' Block Pull (Progressive ROM Training)

Показать описание
This is a 605lb sumo half inch block pull performed with lifting hooks as a max effort deadlift variation in my program which is strongly influenced by the conjugate method. This is 20lb heavier than the last time I performed this variation on 5/15/23. Except for the preceding 555lb, 505lb, and 455lb ramp up singles, I used mixed grip or double pronated grip without chalk for any other sets or exercises. I began my session with 2 sets of prone hamstring curls and 3 sets each of machine hip abduction, machine hip adduction, and leg extensions. Then I performed 8x5 submaximal pause deadlifts (4 sets conventional and 4 sets sumo), 6x3 and 2x2 speed sumo block pulls, 3x3 countermovement box jumps, and 9x3 seated box jumps. After my ramp up block pull singles and this top single, I performed 4 sets each of leg press, Roman chair hip extension, and Roman trunk extension. Later at home, I will perform light accessory training such as direct grip exercises.

That’s impressive but allegedly sumo doesn’t count.

Don't go asking around "why do you think my knee is hurting"
