Precise, concise and very valuable to the upcoming or newly retired. Well spoken, Riley. It's your video's that got me posting on this subject myself a little over three months ago.

Wow! Didn't expect to relate to general trends, but this discussion fits me to a "T." I retired four years ago and am beginning phase three, looking forward to phase four. Thank you, Sir, for your insight.

I never understood the disconnected phase. I remember when I ran into a man who was in his 70s/80s and he was making coffee at a chain convenient store. He made clear to me that he was doing this because he was bored. I was in my early 30s at the times and I thought what about hobbies. All those things you couldn't do for years while you worked all the time? Do whatever. Paint, write music, work out, write a book, learn about something new. Why go back to having to answer to someone again after all those years.

Oh, Baloney. I've been in phase 1 for 7 years now, and I love it. There is so much fun and enjoyment to have in life. So many interesting things to do. I do NOT want to reinvent myself, and spend years in phase 4. Nope, phase 1 for me.

Lots of people don't have a "career" they have a regular j...o...b, and in cases like me it is a low paid job. BTW I retire in 23 months, and I can't wait.
