Satisfye knocked it out of the park with the ZenGrip Ronin! This thing is AMAZING! 🤯

I also bought this Ronin because I wanted a grip that would allow me to dock my Switch without having to slide my Switch in and out of the grip each time. However, the unfortunate reality with the Ronin grip is that, if you dock the Switch with it in this grip, it completely blocks the USB ports on the side of the dock, making them unusable for things like charging your controllers while the Switch is docked. If you have the dock that comes with the Switch OLED, then you don't even have the USB port on the inside to use, since that was replaced with an ethernet cable. This means that, if I still want to use my USB ports on my dock, I'm back to where I was before getting the Ronin, having to remove the grip each time I dock it. That completely defeats the purpose for why I got the Ronin. I should have just been satisfyed (pun intended) with the grip I already had and not spent the money on the Ronin.

It's not necessarily the end of the world because Switch controllers can still be plugged into other USB cables in your home. They don't need to be plugged directly into the Switch to be charged. So the problem that I'm talking about here probably won't apply to people who only use the joycons or to people who plug their Pro Controllers into other ports in their home. Still, the fact that some useful functionality of the dock is lost when using the Ronin grip is something people need to keep in mind before they buy it. If they already have a grip, even if it doesn't allow you to dock your Switch, you're probably fine with that one and you don't need to spend your money on the Ronin.

It slightly bends your dock when you dock it. It might not bug you, but it bugged me, so I returned it

I tried these after watching the reviews.. They took a while to adjust to. My aim was worse and my right hand started cramping like never before at first. I wear extra large size gloves and I have trouble reaching the abxy and R button for games like Resident Evil 4. Personally I think the right grip should have been the same size as the left.

As a satisfye fam, I’m a bit disappointed with my og switch. It’s pretty good except docking it is a bit of a tight squeeze. My dock noticeably wedges open slightly. Maybe it’s different for oled.

Hey Raymond, quick question, do you happen to know if this grip works with the left-sided Hori d-pad joy con? Like the black/gold Zelda one. Because that has a slight bump on the top at the back so I just wanted to check if you happen to have any Hori joycons you can test?

Nah this product bends joycon rails due to fitting being too tight. The grip models that were the best on OG switch (with the padded plastic clips coming over the top) that aren’t made for oled.
