I kind of like the old one a bit better; the remaster is more visually interesting, sure, but I feel the old one represented a better character. The understated movements and blank expression does give the impression that this is mostly because it's his job, but that also kind of lends a sense of danger in its own way. This is a guy who wouldn't hesitate to take you out for no other reason than because he's expected to (possibly a seething rage under the surface as well, but you can't know for sure); good luck convincing him to lay off. The new one acts aloof in dialogue but then flips out in song. The remaster does have a better idle animation though.

The extra frames of animation of the hat moving with the more dynamic poses really does make it pop, I like it.
