ACCA has signed a MoU with the SECP to spread investor awareness across Pakistan. We delivered many seminars during the last year on investor education. Continuing on this initiative ACCA in collaboration with SECP is hosting a webinar for Members on "13 rules for wise investment"

Additionally, The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is celebrating World Investor Week from 2nd October to 8th October 2017, to promote greater investor education and protection worldwide. World Investor Week (WIW) is a global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and highlight various initiatives of the securities regulators in critical areas.

SECP & IOSCO
Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) being an IOSCO member is participating in the campaign to provide, a wide variety of activities such as launching of social media publications, promoting stock trading contests, organizing events such as educational workshops and conferences at private/public universities and conducting local/national campaigns for entities to escalate financial education in the country.

The webinar will be useful for every one, (including those having no background of financial markets) and are interested in the field of investments.

Trainer Profile
Syed Murtaza Abbas Naqvi has an MPhil from the National Defense University, Islamabad in Government and Public Policy in addition to an MBA in Finance from Hamdard University, Karachi. Mr. Naqvi has over 14 years of work experience primarily in the area of supervision and regulation of Capital Markets and Non-Banking Financial Institutions. In addition to his professional work experience Mr. Naqvi has also been part of the adjunct faculty at International Islamic University, NUST, QAU, and Hamdard University. In his spare time he indulges in research topics related to socio economic issues and history.
