Scream VI, the one where Jason goes to space! Wait, that's not it. Ghostface goes to New York City! And he drops sins all over the place.

Thursday: animated sins from the aughts.

Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

My biggest issue with the film is everyone getting stabbed and walking around like they just came home from the beach. Like wtf

Quinn being their roommate deserves 100 sins! The way that Sam is so overprotective of her sister that she followed her to college and she couldn’t even go to a frat party by herself but they get a promiscuous roommate that has strangers coming in and out all the time?!?? Why would they even have a roommate???

I love how Tara needed her inhaler when she wasn't even doing anything but didn't when she was running her ass off lol

My biggest issue with the killer reveal is that there is NO WAY a serial killer could have a cop dad and that wouldn't become fairly widespread public knowledge. Like, how would Sam not see that coming out afterwards? And then they let him investigate ghost face murders?!?!?!?!?!?!

I do get that it's pretty common in Scream films for characters to survive fatal attacks after for sure being dead, but this film kind of took that to ten because they all did lol. There do have to be some stakes you know.

As much as I love Chad and Mindy, they should NOT be alive or even walking around like nothing happened. Kevin Williamson is playing in our faces. 😅

My biggest issue with the movie was DETECTIVE BAILEY RUNNING AT SAM WITH A LOADED PISTOL like shoot her. And the whole ghost Billy loomis thing completely ruins the feel of scream being grounded

I loved the setup at the beginning. Doing something very different. I would love to see a scream movie where it follows the killers and how they plan and go about their killings. And you can still have twists.

For a horror franchise that typically avoids retcons (Roman inspiring Billy to get revenge on Maureen is a retcon but Billy still is the one who creates the Ghostface alias), it does annoy me that this film retcons Gale's promise to honor Dewey at the end of the 5th movie and immediately goes back to her giving the people behind Ghostface massacres coverage in a book that yet again inspires future serial killers.

love how characters just walk off multiple stab wounds

Also, I have so many questions about Quinn and her dumb fake death scene:
1. Her dad said they used prosthetics to fake her death, so why didn't the autopsy people say anything about how they have a fake death body in the morgue?
2. How did her dad switch out her body for the fake one around other cops????

2:14 also, just want to point out: the TV's playing Jason Takes Manhattan, which is a pretty accurate way to describe scream 6: Ghostface takes manhattan (minus the boat)

The fact that the twin got stabbed in the subway over and over, and the next few hours she RAN to her brother's aid when he got carried out on the stretch (after surviving stab wounds as

Have to say, if it wasn't for the ridiculous, over-the-top attacks on characters that then ended up surviving, I would have really enjoyed this film. Either have the guts to kill them off or make the attack actually look like they had a chance of surviving it. You don't gut someone on-screen and then have them limping back in for a sappy reunion. You gut someone and they aren't limping anywhere. Might even survive after many, many ops but you'll not see them upright for good while. And then you have Chad . . .

Was also confused on how tara and mindy were just casually UP AND WALKING after being stabbed in the gut

OMG the stabbing pissed me off! It seemed to not bother anyone like it was just a scratch or something lmao

The main issue I had with this movie is that it wanted to be subversive to the genre, even going so far to have a character state that in the movie, and then does nothing of the sort. Not to mention the main character plot armor, and the ridiculousness of the killer reveals.

If you watch it a second viewing and third time, very carefully, you end up realizing that Quinn, the little girl, did everything for the most part. You think about, where her brother is, and where her dad is, and most of the at*acks were done by Quinn. Gale's bodyguard/boyfriend, is huge. And, he gets thrown around. And when you pause and think, about it, her dad (the cop/villain) gets left behind at the park how did he get there first? He didn't. Her brother is eating Cheetos with Kirby and the others in the van trying to pin point the call. He was with the group. How did he teleport over? He didn't.
So that big dude, got thrown through the book shelf, by Quinn? 5 feet 7 inches around 123 pounds can pick this behemoth guy up, I can buy, she can pick him up. People can pick someone up momentarily. But that she can throw him that far, and overpower him. It reminded me a bit of Emma Roberts and that skinny, frail dude (Rory Culkin).
