Why I Recommend Using A G10 Sheet With Your 3D Printer

I moved my 3 CR10 V3's, both my E3V2's and most notably my CR10-S5 (500mmx500mm). I bought larger sheets from McMaster-Carr in the US and cut them with a metal cutting blade in my band saw. These are such a pleasure to use. When tramming I would see the occasional low spot in the middle on the CR10's. A bit of blue painters tape (worst case 2 layers) underneath, and I was good to go and it stayed that way. Once you are leveled, the bed never moves since the parts come off so easily. I hit the CR10-S5 with another 8 deg of heat to get something decent for temp at the edges since the S5 bed heater is essentially a 300mm x 300mm heater in a 500 sq mm application. Adhesion and flatness works on my 0.015mm layer prints and I can print batches of small parts using the full bed for a change, not just the part I could keep warm and flat. Bonus, you have a choice of colors too!

Just received my g10 sheet and I quite l like it. I was using glass with blue tape with PETG, but it was really difficult to get the prints off. My first print with the g10 failed halfway through the print, but it was not very thick so I added a brim and increased the bed temperature from 65 degrees to 70 degrees. The second time I succeeded and I was really impressed on how easily the print came off the bed once it had cooled down.

switched my ender 5 to G10 like 8 months ago and never looked back, when the bed is hot I can literally pick up the entire printer by the print. but once it cools it self releases.

Could I just flip the ender 3 build sheet ? Did you sand the sheet at all ?

So. Where to buy it localy? In CZ I found only 1*1m sheets. Or some too small for Ender 3 from knife shops. Thank you for answer.

You removed the rough surfacre from the ender 3 build plate or did you just flip it ?
