This is going to sound really dumb, but: at over 40, I always told my friends “someone needs to teach me how to use a pillow”…
Your simple line about “needs to support the neck, not the head” and where to place the pillow, GOLD! thank you 🙏

I’m 32, often wake up in pain and couldn’t ever work out how to make a pillow work for me. Tried multiple pillows, no pillow, flat pillows, fat pillows… I was just using it wrong! Since I found this a few weeks ago I haven’t woken up with pain again. Thank you for this video!

Huge thank you! I have long term back and neck issues (35 years). It only hurts every morning after sleeping in a bed (tried every mattress known to man) and after long walks or certain chores. I applied the tips given here and I can't believe the outcome! No exaggeration, my pain was decreased by 80% for the 1st time in 35 years! Thank you!!

Dr Jon, you are a Godsend. I've been struggling with BPPV for years, recently severely. I tried Epley & with better success, half somersault, but never had complete recovery. Last night I switched my pillow position to lengthwise down my back. Game changer and answer to my literal prayers!!! Today was the first time waking without the room spinning. Thank you for your amazing help and dedication. Your videos make sense and are transformational!! You've manage to solve what my doctor and chiropractor could not.

Fantastic videos. I do all the problems resulting in forward posture and this has given me tips and reminded me of the importance of keeping this and your exercises consistently. I have hyper mobile shoulders or double jointed which causes my shoulders to fan out and shoulders go up.

Thank you for explaining the reason there is a low and high side on contour pillows.
I've used the low side under my neck whilst sleeping on my back but now understand why switching to the high side at the front is better for shoulder/side sleeping. Thanks again 👍

I started getting cricks in my neck when I was 18. Get off your pillow was the Chiropractors suggestion. This was 54 years ago. I still normally only use on a pillow to sit up with and when I cant breathe from a cold or allergy. It was the best suggestion I received. I wish I could go back and thank him.

I just bought a cervical pillow and now I know why there’s low and high edges and when to use them. Thank you for this video.

Mentioning the benefits of proper head-neck-spine positioning as well as the air-breathing alignment benefits (especially for "no neck" people) re apnea related (breathing) whilst sleeping … I totally minimised or "cured" my so-called "apnea" once I started understanding sleeping positions (what worked for me) and using pillow/s properly … good informative, practical information re this video/demo 👍🏼

Huge thank you! I've been sleeping with my pillow just supporting my head, but as soon as I turned the pillow length-wise it felt a lot more comfortable. I even noticed that I'd had some pain in my neck from the pillow pushing my head toward my neck before, but the pain/strain went away in a bit :)
