First of all, a large amount of credit for posting tutorials like this. You are to be commended for trying to help people with these tasks.
Now, while I appreciate your explanation that JMeter is a performance or load testing tool and so, you won't be going over those most critical functions, you try to position this as a functional testing tool, which it most certainly is not. There are much easier tools to use that JMeter for functional testing and the real strength of JMeter is using it for the suites of performance tests that it can execute. I'm a performance engineer and have used JMeter (among other tools) in the past. Performance is a discipline that can't be learned in a 1 hour session.
The tool you use in your video, Postman, is better suited to functional testing than JMeter is.
