So the supposedly Son of God or God who should have the knowledge of unseen, didn't know that the fig tree had no figs before he came to check on them...strange

Yes, which is why the fig tree is the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden and not an apple tree. The fig tree is instantly killed, and since no apples are ever mentioned in the bible, Adam and Eve ate figs. Otherwise, he would have killed an apple tree.
