My First Experience With No CHOKE | BRAWLER 750CFM

The new carburetor doesn't have a choke on it. Why would anyone do this to themselves?!!?? Here is my experience installing the new carburetor and testing it out for a week. It took me some time to tune the carburetor and get it right. The idle mixture screws were not where I initially expected. After going through all the vacuum lines, my car is now making more vacuum and performing better! Very happy with the Brawler carburetor so far!

I've did away with the choke on several of Mopars I've had in the past only the one's I didn't drive in cold weather though. The thing I don't like about electric chokes are that they still choke even in hot weather and every time after the car was shut down, so I would just adjust them to stay open and not work. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I just recently took off the choke plate and shaft from a 600 cfm carb on my 69’. I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner. The car starts a lot easier after being warmed up!

As far as cold starts, i found 3 pumps of the gas pedal and hitting the ignition has worked best for me. I have no issues trying to keep it idling. Although now that I think about it, I had previously adjusted the fast idle screw so that it had zero effect on the choke during start up (basically the lowest idle possible when starting if that makes sense). Not sure if that has anything to do with it but everything is smooth now.

Carbs, and Carb tuning are sadly becoming a bit of a dying art as so many of us are going EFI now. Beautiful carb though, and Brawler is an awesome brand!
