This channel proves that production value is in the eye of the beholder. This is way more interesting content than other YouTube channels that worry too much about graphics, music, transitions, and all that other junk.

Loved this episode, Ryan was literally as excited as a kid in a toy shop. The guy who came in with the trade squatted for most of the time, quads and hamstrings of steel!

This episode is breaking is my heart. My parents were both freelance animators. From the early 60’s into the early 90’s. Before all these companies got greedy and started outsourcing all animation to Asia. My parents company in the 80’s was called Prism Film And Ink. They did mostly commercials, some cartoon express stuff. Anybody growing up in the 80’s watched their work constantly, and probably begged their parents for the toys or food in their commercials. Some big ones I know people will remember are Cookie Crisp, Little Caesars and Cabbage Patch Kids, and Rambo. With Cabbage Patch being there biggest one.
But why I’m writing this today is because I remember my parents winning a bid on a big job that they thought was going to set us up for life. That was the Rambo cartoon, plus all the toy commercials. I remember Stallone and Weathers both coming into Manhattan so my father could draw them for the animation. That was pretty cool.
But what breaks my heart is that my parents got every single prototype Rambo toy from I think it was coleco. So they could then recreate them for the cartoons and commercials. This was a good year before the cartoon even came out. They had them all lined up above their desks so they could go to them for reference. The same thing with Cabbage Patch. We had almost every prototype way before they came out. So my parents could then place them in the commercials.
But the Rambo toys drove me and my brother crazy, because we were dying to play with them. Once season one was in the can. My parents gave my brother and I all of them. Seeing that with season two there would be a whole new line of toys. Of course they told us to just put them on a shelf and to not touch them. But being that me and my brother were only 5 & 7 at the time. We couldn’t help ourselves and always played with them. Being prototypes they immediately fell apart, and were destroyed. Of course my parents big dream of this cartoon blowing up never happened, and there wasn’t a season two so we didn’t get any other ones. I wish I could talk to my 5 year old self. Plus my brother and sisters to not touch any of Rambo’s and Cabbage Patch Kids. I could only imagine what they would bring in now.
Also one of the great things about my parents being animators. Was they there was a toy fair every year in Manhattan. It’s sole purpose was for companies to come in and bid on making the cartoons and commercials for next year’s toy lines. I can remember being really young and seeing Voltron and transformers way before they ever came out.
It sucks that all animation is done in East Asia now. The mighty dollar took away the whole freelance animation industry in America.

Toy federation are always so fair and open about their purchases. This man obviously has amazingly loving parents. Not only did they buy him piles of toys as a kid, but they then kept it for him for many years.

Love what the production guy has been doing with the color grading recently, the colors are popping way more than the early vids

Props to his parents for saving all that. My parents unfortunately gave away or threw away all my stuff.

That guy took good care of his toys…wow! Played with them gently and they are here 40 years later with very few broken parts. Amazing.

From the way this guy dresses and talks I'm 100% sure that as kids he would not let me touch his toys 🤣

I’m always in awe that parents keep their kids stuff. For me, my parents always purged my toys if I wanted others. A garage sale would go towards the new stuff.

What makes Toy Federation the best on YouTube right now is? There’s no complaining about the toys and companies that make the toys. New or vintage, they make it fun like you’re hanging around at your buddies house. Don’t change and keep up what you’re doing. ❤ people wanna be lifted up and happy watching something that’s positive.

There was a man named JT when I was growing up as a teen in Dallas that had JT's comic book store in Garland Texas. When my dad passed, JT came to my house to check out my dad's comic collection and make us an offer. It bankrupted him. That was the minute I realised my father was a true nerd. It was all of the xmen, batman, spiderman and superman comics but the kicker was 11 copies of Amazing Fantasy 15 copies my dad had bagged.

JT mortgaged his store and house to buy my fathers collection. At the time I had no idea how honest he was as my mom said she would have sold the lot for $50 to clear the attic.

I really appreciate how fair you are.

We did keep loads of my dad's comics and of course I was a nerd so I have kept all of my toys from '79 to '92. I learned a lot that day including that nostalgia is profitable 25 years at a time. Catch guys in their 40s and sell them their childhood and be comfortable for life.

The 'Special Guest' was simultaneously awkward, fantastic and well advertised!

Also he knew how to duck out😂.
