If Denmark didn’t exist, Sweden and Norway would gain more coastline, and Germany would have better access to trade routes, shifting Northern Europe's geopolitical balance. Historically, there would be no Viking dominance, changing exploration and trade, and Norway’s history would differ. Culturally, the world would miss Lego, Carlsberg, Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, and Danish design.

As a Swedish man, I could never see a world without my danish brother. Fuck you, but I do love you.

Disney's theme parks wouldn't exist either. Walt Disney went to an amusement park in Copenhagen and loved it so much he decided to start his own. :)

Also, H.C. Ørsted discovered aluminum, Ole Rømer the "hesitation" of light, Tycho Brahes empirical approach to astronomy would change everything, Kierkegaard was the father of existentialism, Grundtvig changed the educational system of all of Northern Europe, Romaticism would not have developed as it did without the Danish artists and thinkers as well as Caspar David Friedrich educated in Copenhagen - moving behind the Middle Ages, The Viking Age - Denmark was the absolute power house of Northern Europe as far back as the bronze age. Look it up. The Germanic tribes all started started from Denmark and Scania.

Insulin
Co-inventor: August Krog.

The ostomy bag
Inventor: Elise Sørensen.

The fiberscope
Inventor: Holger Møller Hansen.

A Dane helped invent the speaker that sits in your television, in your mobile phone and in your system at home in the living room.

It has of course been developed quite a bit since that time at the beginning of the 20th century, when Peter L. Jensen came up with it together with an American colleague, but the basic idea is the same.

The modern batteries you have in your flashlight and in your remote control are in many ways a direct further development of the Danish Wilhelm Hellesen's invention from the end of the 19th century.

The battery was actually invented as early as 1800, but the product and the entire industry were revolutionized when Wilhelm Hellesen invented the so-called dry battery.

A very special technology, invented by Dane Valdemar Poulsen, was later used in everything from hard drives to VHS tapes and Dankort.

Denmark is not blocking German trade. They also have the Kieler Canal connecting the Baltic with the Elbe river and the North Sea. A shortcut fir shipping

Not to mention, Danish also had influence on alot of other european languages, That’s why danish people generally learn languages faster as there’s some strong resemblance in stuff like Swedish, German, English, Norwegian even in a bit of Italian and so on..

In short, It’s more easily understood to a danish person since Denmark is like a Mother understanding its children i suppose i’d say

My question would be, How would most of the flags look like in Europe, as they have the same appearance as our danish flag, Which is the oldest.
