Transcript
22-year old Saoirse Kennedy-Hill, the granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, was found dead at the family's compound on Massachusetts' Cape Cod Thursday afternoon.
The Kennedy compound is a 6 acre property in Hyannisport, home to several members of the Kennedy family.
Paramedics responded to a medical emergency at the compound around 2:30 PM and rushed Kennedy Hill to the hospital.
The family has not said how Kennedy Hill died.
In 2016 Kennedy Hill wrote an op-ed piece for her high school newspaper about her struggles with depression.
She described it as "a deep sadness that felt like a heavy boulder on my chest."
And she regretted that federal privacy laws prevented her teachers and advisers from truly knowing what she was going through.
Her grandmother Ethel Kennedy issued a statement saying "The world is a little less beautiful today."
