My first impressions of the D'Amore Engineering AMM-1. Here's hoping they'll come out with the AMM-2 with more features and a lower price! lol

I appreciate your feedback on this product. I came here to view this because I'm considering buying one. It seems like this product needs improving.

That MacBook comment killed me!! 🤣 So true!!

the price is my biggest issue. For most car audio needs a clamp and a multimeter will allow you to do the same measurements. Actually if you have a clamp, an oscilloscope and a multimeter you have all the measurement tools needed in car audio.

I need to find out where to get new leads for my AMM-1. One is just barely attached by a few strands of wire. It also doesn't measure power correctly. It shows less than half the power output I got when I measured the same 10 amplifiers a year ago under the same conditions.

i know not much however is 32ohm reading not improper should all subs be subsonic filtered at 70hz?

Are there cheaper alternatives to the amm-1 for car amplifiers?

When my AMM-1 clipping light comes on the amp is clipping very hard. It almost looks like a square wave on my oscilloscope. My o-scope also shows waveform deformation before the DD-1 Distortion Detector too. I use all three together and read the real time power on AMM-1 when the o-scope or DD-1 indicates the first hint of distortion.
