HOW TO Build a DIY HOT TUB SPA Deck Platform CHEAP with PALLETS & a small Budget

I got my hands on a Dreammaker Eclipse HOT TUB, and needed to build a deck for it. The problem? I'm POOR! So, I got in my Truck, drove to a few stores, collected a bunch of Pallets and got to work!

*UPDATE* It Has held my Tub for 2+ years. On 4/18/21, I removed the tub, replaced 1 (rotted thanks to a tub leak), and replaced the plywood with Treated Deck Board. Totally worth it! Epic.

I love it! We are getting ready to build a pallet deck, this is going to be super helpful for us! We have a tight budget and bought 9 new pallets for 9 bucks each! Using the pavers will save tons of money! Thanks!

Awesome! We are building this, this weekend for a hot tub we have coming next week! Super excited! We have done this same for a deck for our trailer we use for friends and family that come for weekend visits. I can vouch the pallets with some plywood on top are super strong and can last a long time in the rainy pacific northwest weather

Cut a slight point on the tip of the 2x4s will make them easy to get in.

Many people think these pallets are free and they are not. Most retail stores resell the pallets back to a company. Do not steal people! Ask before you take even if they are just thrown in the back.

LOL. I would have just put an outdoor rug on top instead of that ugly paint. Thanks for the tutorial though. I want to do this for my HT since I have a slight runoff and don't want it to get wet under the pergola.

Nice, why not use plastic pallets instead and avoid the risk of this rotting?

Those 12x12 pavers, are they plastic or concrete? I'm looking on amazon for the same ones, but I keep seeing plastic.

This is something that someone living in a trailer park would do

Will that support the weight of the hot tub plus people? As I'm planning to do the same but my slabs are just broken slabs. Any tips?

Great work!! I’m going to do the same thing, I have an intek inflatable tub I’m guessing this would still work with that? You used 4 pallets? Thanks again for posting

How has it been since installed and the tub filled ? Did it sink into the mud a lot ? Is it still level ?

5:17 Yeah, tons of extra strength! The pallets cannot even support your weight without bowing!
