It was no secret WHEN Jesus returned ! He gave all of the signs to His disciples Mt.13:3 and it would be in Christs generation Mt.24:34 - The only thing unknown was the day and the hour and the Father in Rev.1:1 told Jesus the divinely appointed time was at hand and MUST SHORTLY come to pass!

Jesus came in the lifetime of Those who pierced Him & The Tribes of the land (Old Cov.Israel) Rev.1:7.

In the lifetime of Thyratira Rev.2:25!

In the lifetime of Sardis Rev.3:3-4!

Can’t come like a “Thief in the night” upon Sardis unless Jesus was returning in THEIR lifetime!

And none of these people are with us today!

“THIS GENERATION” Mt.23:36-Mt.24:34.

These words and their definitions are consistently used in the NT and they NEVER communicate something that will take place some 2000 years from the time they were pinned!

Interesting why it would say, “every eye shall see him” and then includes “also those who pierced Him” because “every eye” means every eye so then why would it have to also include more, right? The mature in righteousness understands why.
