One of the best monologues ever written in film history, whoever wrote this deserves an Oscar. Because it breaks the boundaries of the film and speaks unfiltered to the audience and all the actors/actresses in the world at the same time. And not just them, you can translate this to your everyday life. Everyone should memorize the core of this speech. It helps in finding the proper perspective on your life. Jean Smart was a legend before this, but imho this scene made her an immortal icon for all time. ❤

Anyone else who thought that the child born in 50 years is Damien Chazelle himself?

The best scene of the most underrated film.
Chazelle and his cast will spend eternity with angels and ghosts.

If only he knew that years later he would become Brad Pitt...

completely underrated movie. As if that was the intention.

Written for himself not you.

There was something before all of this.

A memory forgotten.

I don’t get how anyone could post the scene without this last bit…

This scene alone deserves the truest art award about legacy. 🤩💜
(So inspiring to any artists that want to create and go on their journey.)

I understand why it did bad in the box office. Its for thinkers, deep thinkers, who can laugh, watch sexy scenes, laugh, feel all the feelings and are capable of digesting them and applying them to ultimately improve their life. True service on both sides and why this universe was created. To move towards a greater us.

She should have gotten an Oscar for this. BUT her time has passed.

Why is everyone praising this dialogue. It’s like it’s written by a 16 year old. It goes all over the place. Why is she praising him as immortal after saying it’s over lol
