In this guide I will explain how to use HE and HESH with some examples. Many have asked for this sort of video after i published some kill montages using high explosive, and, well, here you go.

In short:

- the higher the caliber, the more likely the kill
- HE is not for direct penetration, but for shrapnel damage
- aim for spots that are close to the weakly armored turret roof or top of the hull
- HESH is more reable with thick armor, although only availible on tier 6 and higher

So, I found out how great HESH shells are when I decided to give it a try, and I am OBSESSED with HE now

Oh, be careful with these shells, they are all or nothing gambles. You either annihilate the vehicle or don't do anything at all.

One other thing you might find useful - in some tanks weak spots are located on the bottom. Shooting under the tank, on the inside of the track can have great results. Pretty much best way to kill T95 using any Soviet 122 HE

6 months but here we go. I see you are playing the Mobile version, is there any difference regarding game mechanics? I just got the Fv4005 and for the love of all thats mighty, it just dosent work, I'm shooting russian T34 and germany tiger 1 and 2 tanks in the side, and literally nothing happens any tipps?

I have a question since I'm using the panther D platoon. Should I stick to AP shells or use HE? I mainly play with Tiger 2 (P)

Maus do have alot of 10mm plate on hull roof so it can be killed with HE

Killed three of enemy tanks too were very far.
