man this got me thinking about the time wilbur showed a sneak peak of lovejoy (before the first ep) on stream, the sneak peak being a shitty n incredibly scuffed video of the boys playing live in some empty room . and the audio was scuffed to hell and back (like the instrumentals would just Blast over wil’s voice, so u couldnt hear him) and just i remember that i was There since before lovejoy was officially released to the public lmao . i was there when wilbur would mention him maybe having a band but never name dropping it or saying anything more abt it
and thinking about that (about the shitty scuffed video of them playing in an empty room that wilbur showed on stream) and then thinking about how it is Now ? christ almighty dude . theyve come so far its genuinely insane
ugh and i remember the first gig, how bad it went bc the venue didnt know anything abt them or their music or how to properly do their sound n such (and it was to a small audience of strangers and mainly just friends of theirs) . and to think abt recent gigs now, ,,, theyre playing to 17k people, and its only been a year or so (maybe 2 since their first gig ? not even sure lmao) . theyre selling out all their shows like mad, having a bunch of people yell back lyrics, playing on the same stage as other huge artists — its genuinely fucking crazy how far theyve come . (and that i was there to witness all of it in real time, ,)
like yeah, they started out big bc of wilbur’s content creation and fandom . but they were big on a specific corner of the internet, and compared to now, theyre so much bigger in so many different ways . theyre getting Real Life recognition from big radio stations and the like, not just from a fandom on the internet .
like im not invested in the music industry whatsoever (i dont listen to many bands or artists at all), but even i know this shit is on another level .

its crazy and im so proud of them, the boys r going big and im gonna try and be there at every step of the way :))
