Rapper Chino XL Dead at 50

Chino XL, real name Derek Barbosa, has died. The rapper's family shared the news of his death in a statement on Instagram. He was 50 years old.

I was FLOORED when I heard the news of his passing! I was a fan since his first single "Kreep" and his first album "Here to save you all(96)"! He was one of the 🐐 punchline 👑 s and he'll diss pop culture if necessary! Very talented behind the 🎤, music video cameo's and in movie's as well. I appreciate that ET of all programs to do a story on him. Glad that he's slowly receiving his flowers that are LONG OVERDUE!! Hopefully this generation of hip hop fans in due time will check out his catalog of music! His first 2 albums are my favorites. "Here to save you all(96)" and "I told you so(01)". He's sorely missed by the hip hop community and those that met him through passing. What a HUGE LOSS in hip hop! Rip Chino XL 🙏!!
