I was SO thrilled to see this bridal makeup video pop up on my feed. :) I got married last year and I did have a makeup artist (she was phenomenal). Here are a few tips I learned from her and my experience...whether or not you have a makeup artist, I would definitely do a trial/wear test and take notes and pictures! I realized I wanted more makeup after my trial (natural-leaning, so I looked like myself, but still glam) and that I needed more mattifying products because my skin is oily. I also opted for individual lashes rather than a strip lash on my wedding day. I found they bothered my eyes less (I'm not a regular false lash wearer and it decreased the risk of the lashes popping up)! I researched and tested multiple sunscreens before my wedding day to make sure makeup wore well under it and that there was no white cast. I used the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen but I know e.l.f. has a great dupe for it as well. Number one tip - use WAY more setting spray than you think you need. My makeup artist used the classic Morphe setting spray (at least 5 - 6 sprays, no joke) and my makeup was still intact until 2am that night! My last tip would be to make sure you have access to powder (especially if you have oily skin like me) so you can pat it on every few hours, and a moisturizing lip product to reapply. I also like to set my eyeshadow look with a light touch of urban decay all nighter pressed powder to keep it from creasing/fading.
Milani loose powder in the shade banana is my favorite finishing powder, the ultimate airbrushed look!
Your eye makeup is exactly what I was looking for. I love how most of the shadow is focused on the lash line.

FRIENDS - DO NOT USE A Q TIP! Use a clean spoolie! If you get mascara on your face while doing your make up, wait for it to complete dry and the ever so gently just rub the spoolie over the mascara and it’s gone immediately and no need to re-do anything you’ve already done.

I used the Shiseido Syncro Skin Self Refreshing Foundation. I know it is high end but it really does what the bottle says and lasts all day! I applied my own makeup mid morning for a very private and exclusive wedding ceremony at lunchtime and it stayed fresh looking all day for me!
