Webinar | Fisheries Subsidies Video Series: Basic Concepts

As part of its work to support a meaningful WTO agreement to discipline harmful fisheries subsidies, the International Institute for Sustainable Development has produced a set of six videos to summarize the state of play and the key issues to be resolved across the WTO fisheries subsidies negotiations. In the first video of the series, IISD Expert Alice Tipping presents some of the key basic concepts that come up in the negotiations.

These videos have been designed to provide all interested stakeholders with a short, clear summary of the state of play in WTO negotiations, and to help delegations to seek focused input from capitals to support their engagement in the next phase of WTO talks.
