Back during the 1995 Shoshinkai Nintendo Event, Nintendo showed of Zelda 64's first trailer. However, we never saw this build of the game. Through a new interview Giles Goddard, the creator of the build, we have info of what it was and how much we didn't see including a Portal Feature, many years before Portal was even conceived. So today on Cut Content, we explore The First and Lost Build of The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

And thank you for watching!

Thank for watching everyone! Next time we plan to do a Ura Zelda video as a transition point to Majora's Mask. Also this took surprising long simply cause the portal effects I had to key into this.

PS. I accidently had this premiering an hour earlier than I wanted (literally uploaded it before I slept), so as such I apologize for not being there for the premiere. I'll plan to be more careful next and join again for the premieres!

I am surprised that this build (lost or not) even is a built at all.
I always assumed this was just a pre-rendered video that didn't ever "saw" an N64.

It's amazing still seeing beta content. These old trailers and pics use to haunt me back in the day just wishing I could get a glimpse. The N64 Goldeneye remaster prototype has finally hit the surface to public and I hope to see the same with beta Zelda 64

Amazing video. Thank you for showing your sources, unlike other channel that make stuff up and spread misinformation. You make the best videos on these topics.

I remember seeing those screens in magazines as a kid, when N64 was first revealed! Had no idea there was more to the trailer build, especially not an area outside Hyrule Castle that used portals. Mind blown!

Thank you for all your hard work on these videos. This is the best channel on YouTube for Zelda 64 cut content, and I look forward to seeing other games in series covered.

That crystal portal concept is SUCH a cool idea. I wouldn’t have minded seeing that being used if Nintendo had decided to make OoT a more linear game like Super Mario 64. It would have been a very cool alternative to jumping into photos!

Finally the algorithm doesn't screw you out of me seeing your videos on the same day!
Haha another great OoT installment!

Looking forward to your take on Ura and MM. I've never seen much on MM Beta so I'm very looking forward to your insight

I’m imagining if the OoT would have been built off of his original engine, imagine the improvements that could’ve been made with Ura Zelda/ Disk Drive. This man has so much potential

This tech demo reminds me of the NGC and WiiU Zelda tech demos. It's like Nintendo is used to show the power of their consoles with some Zelda themed demos which are never meant to be released.

Thanks Obsessive Gamer!
The ideas that didn't make it into the final game blow my mind.
It would be awesome if someone made a build that somehow implemented those features.
