Apple doing their best to be different, Midi has been used for so many programs on pc’s for such a long time that it’s weird that Apple doesn’t have a GM general midi software instrument section for their daws.

I can't believe Logic's Manual is a 945 pages pdf and the section about importing MIDI says ”you can import MIDI files“ and that's it, you have to look it up for yourself ( i had already used the method described in this video, but thought there was an easier or more ”formal“ way than just drag and drop, specilly since logic cant even share screen with other apps) ...coincidentally the section about recording audio says also ”you can record audio to Logic" Seriously, considering the TRILLIONS in revenue Apple generates, It's unbelievable they didn't hire someone competent to write the manual for Logic. Great vid, mate!!

appart of draging the instrument patche on the track header, as long as the replace mode is turned on, just tap on the instrument patche to replace it (rather then draging it).

No need to add an audio track. After tapping the + button, then Tracks, just tap "Patches, Loops, Samples" at the bottom of the dialog. You'll have an empty track list but the Browser will be open ready to drag instrument patches onto the MIDI tracks if you want to change the instruments.
