I do black fabric on all my bulletin boards and I love it and can use it year after year with anything colorful.

I use black FABRIC as my back drop for my bulletin boards and trust me fabric is the way to go!!

Hey! I am a Missouri teacher! I think black would look great with your bulletin board borders! The bulletin boards in my room are actually painted black which is super nice so I don't really even have to mess with putting any paper up unless I just want to.
