The FBI arrested 40-year-old Thomas Osborne from Lakeland on Thursday over felony and misdemeanor charges for his alleged actions during the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.

A grand jury handed down the indictment that charged Osborne with felony civil disorder. He is also charged with three misdemeanors:

Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds
Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building or grounds
Osborne was listed as '#347 - AFO' on the FBI's BOLO (Be on the Lookout) list of people identified in the Capitol breach. 'AFO' means he is accused of 'assault on a federal officer'.

Officials say the FBI's Tampa and Washington field offices are investigating the case. The U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C. and the Department of Justice's Counterterrorism Section are prosecuting the case.

So far since January 6, 2021, more than 1,313 people have been charged in nearly every state in the country for crimes related to the attack on the Capitol, according to the USDOJ. They say that includes 469 people charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, which is a felony.

The investigation into the Capitol breach remains ongoing. The riot happened during the certification process for the 2020 election results.
