On Jesse Winkers first game with the Mets, their division rival Braves poured on the offense and the Mets were unable to recover. Pete Alonso provided New York's only offense with a two-run home run as they lost to the Braves 9-2.

It's truly incredible how we went from a lineup (except Alonso) hitting timely and everything - to This beginning of the season effort? How the Hell does that Happen? JD, Pete, A, Nimmo, and now Lindor all shut down for 2.5 games. Iglesias & Tyrone too? Frankie A is totally Discombobulated at the Plate chasing High Heaters and Outside Slidders. We Need Him to Get Going !!

Think about this a Braves team that is missing 3 all star type starting offense and missing 2 cy young style starting pitchers almost got 2 out of 3 from the Mets.

After about the 5th inning of first tonight to late in todays game the pitching shut the Mets down.

I don’t think the Mets are 1-2 pieces away from a deep post run. Think they are far away and may have missed the chance to sell high with this winning lately on their expiring contract pieces.

No way their backend of starting pitching can keep them in games enough for them to out play 5-6 teams that are in the race for the wild cards
