We'll remove the old light. Now, it's gonna have six diodes in it, just like the lights that are on here, except this has the clear cover on it. Once we plug it in, you'll see it's got red LEDs. So it'll work just like another taillight. It'll be taillight functions, brake lights and turn signals.
It's gonna plug in really easily with our three-prong setup. Just push the connector in. It's hooked up. I got to push it back into the grommet. I'm not gonna fully push it in 'cause we're gonna remove it after this video, but wanted to show you what it looked like when it's installed.
Now, it can also be submersible water, and it's DOT compliant. Look at 'em side by side. The clear one, you see it's got the red LEDs in it. It's a little bit lighter than the one that was on there before because it doesn't have that red lens, but it is brighter. The light's gonna measure 6.46 inches long by 2.28 inches wide.
Overall, it's definitely an upgrade. You can see it's quite a bit brighter than the one was already on here. That clear lens lets more light come through. Now, that's just LED to LED. If you're upgrading from incandescent to LED, it's gonna be an even bigger difference. The lights are just gonna last longer. You're not gonna worry about the bulbs or the filaments. It's not gonna heat up, and you're not gonna have to worry about it as you use the trailer. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out. Hope this helped.
