How to Fold a T-Shirt like They Do in the Stores

Back in high school and college I worked at the mall at a store that no longer exists (Mr. Raggs). It was there that I learned how to perfectly fold a t-shirt for display, and now I'm sharing that knowledge with you!

I'm here because I feel so bad that when I unfold a shirt in a store to see what's on it or to see how long it is, etc, that I don't know how to fold it up so nicely to put it back, leaving the staff with more work. :C I seriously felt the cashier's stare of terror at me as I was in Champs looking at the white tees with my fiance, and trying to fold them back up but doing horribly at it. I felt so ashamed. I'm sorry. Lol No more guilt now because of this video, so thanks!

Ha ha, your last sentence. Totally agree. Must teach shirt folding to the next person looking though every pile for the elusive 3x sized shirt that oddly the stores I work in don't carry. I love this method. It also makes the shirts more stable when stacked. They don't all get unfolded at once. Only difference is I tend to lay the shirt out sideways. I still prefer a shirt board, or if not one then an 8x10 cardboard anything will do. I do that to make sure the shirts are all more less the same width. If it is wrinkled enough and can't be smoothed out, I'll push my arm through the inside of the shirt and shake it out. Sometimes in the printing process shirts get stuck a little uneven to begin with.
