Prophecy Brief: Is America Mystery Babylon?

Do you know that Washington DC actually sits on 7 hills!!! And that area used to be called Rome?!?! I have been living in MD my whole life and have heard from many historians and locals about Washington DC being the Babylonian system. This would make sense and would confer the “mystery”!!!

Revelation 18:23 has always made me think of America in particular. We are the ONLY nation in the entire world that has had (past tense), the freedom to share the gospel, without restrictions. And, the pharmaceuticals (sorceries) are made here (I.E. cov. vax's) in the US.
"23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

To me Pastor Brian, this points to one central location. As you know, I'm Jewish and I have a fair insight into how we write, and what certain things represent. As I also believe (America is much like Sodom and Egypt only worse as man is misusing tech.) that this nation is begging for judgement. What we've done in this nation would make even Sodom blush. And the only reason this nation hasn't been judged yet is .. "we're still in it."

Genesis 18:25 speaks to the fact God will not treat the righteous (His) the same as the wicked. And Revelation 18:4 says, "come out of her my people." Rapture reference? Not certain. So, when we leave? I personally (also considering how much the US has recently been "cursing" Israel) feel that when we go up? Judgement will come down. Many of the nations HATE the US now. That's no secret. I also personally feel that 'American patriots' just can't picture a world without the US in it. Well, with a one world govt, there's no room for a free republic. It will go away. One way, or another.

Revelation 18 gives us a complete description and explanation of Babylon. A political and economic power in opposition to God.¨ And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.¨ Since the end of WWII and with the advent of the petro-dollar the United States has reigned supreme as a military and economic power. It stands to reason to see Revelation 18 as a true representation of the secular and anti God that is the current US Government.

Revelation 17 tells us that Mystery Babylon is seated on seven hills which the City of Rome also sits on seven hills. It is known from antiquity as "the City of Seven Hills".

Interesting take, I've seen it more as america because it seems as though the kings of the earth are baffled at her fall and mourn her, and a really interesting thing about her is in rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
This sounds almost like the large influence of america and its ability through many means especially media to reach them, a Single nations force on the world and its ability to quickly deceive other nations
But as with most things in Gods word, God always weaves multiple tiers of meaning into a single verse, It could be all encompassing, and a broader sense of the city not just one nation, and maybe also a singular nation that represents babylon. For me at least it seems like only one nation can cause other nations to awe in wonder and be effected, if it were multiple i feel it would be hard for other nations to view the fall and understand it in this way
Of course i could be wrong but i feel america being silent in scripture might be because its the loudest mention with babylon, I share your take as well though, its a very interesting topic to dive into!

Another point of view is to look at the image that was described in Daniel 2. Babylon is the movement of the Jews as they control all the empires from head to toes.
