Man I should be asleep but gotta support my fellow aussies. Amazing content. I’ve been using a Logitech g27. When your broke you use what you can and even though it’s not as high tech as your stuff, it’s still fun to race around and experience racing as if you were really on the track.

I have a poor's man version, a Realteus Forcefeel on my seat, but really it's great you do feel acceleration and braking, shifting and even grip when taking corners sort of. Can't drive without anymore, to have feedback at your butt and back adds to the immersion.

But this is next level, definitely on my wishlist when I can afford to live bigger ;).

Great video. Been running the Gen 5 for a couple months and can just add that when the trial expired, nothing changed in terms of utility of the software for games. I got an email stating my expiration period was close to ending for use on movies, but it reiterated my use on motion coded games would not be impacted without a subscription and it hasn’t. (I haven’t tested if that impacts adaptive gaming for non-supported games, but I can check and update this post).

I'm another user that would enjoy seeing comparisons to a SFX100 or PT actuator style system. Now days you can use a Thanos controller with minimal latency and all sorts of tweakable parameters for custom builds. I find my version with 150mm travel to be amazing but always wondered how the D-Box motion would feel in comparison.

Not for the average sim-racer or even for the upper level sim-racer. Wait until someone delivers a compelling product at a reasonable price and that’s def coming.

I think the main wow effect comes when coupled this with VR. This should really trick the brain into thinking it’s in the car.

I have the 1.5" D-Dox with only two actuators and pivot on the front. Been considering upgrading to four, but need more than 1.5" travel for dirt racing games....
Be interesting to see if they do a 3" system, but also face an issue of mounting these, considering I have a Vesaro rig... Nothing square on it...
Other issue of late (last year and a bit) is their support never replies to my email. For a system that is very expensive they don't seem bothered to respond to any support emails, at least from me.
Thanks for mentioning the DK2 system, will look at these as an alternative

Also I hope D-Box will also model the engine oriëntation in alongside those engine vibrations based off of torque, because when you rev a transverse mounted engine it feels different from a longitudinal mounted one. Then there is also the difference in engine type in the way torque is converted to the chassis.

D Box was the original but Qubic and Sigma Integral are both wayyyy better now.
They're both a much lower cost also.

I was thinking of getting the DBox system as an addon for the Next Level Racing GTtrack cockpit, which it fitted with their V3 motion platform for the seat on top of it. I was thinking exactly the same thing when you remarked that you preferred to set up the system to mimic your body's motion and not the entire car's motion. With both systems (plus the force feedback wheel), one can have everything in one compact cockpit setup.
