Most maps took way too long to include South Sudan (in part for political reasons)

My Chinese teacher taught tones by using the word “Hey”. She would put a tone on it and because we can already pronounce hey in several ways to mean different things she went off of that. It was a little confusing but I think it helped me grasp the idea of tones pretty well.

As a Spanish, I just immediately go check Western Sahara. If it has Spanish Sahara, it’s before 1975, and if it says Western Sahara, then after 1975 🇪🇸🇪🇭
