You said that the Corona viruses tend to not mutate at the rate in which influenza does. How do you explain the delta variant we are seeing today? Also this variant mutated relatively fast, about one year. Isn’t that similar to the rate of mutation we see in influenza?

Stupid question, as far as antigenic goes, I know that Mitochondrial DNA isn't the same thing as DNA since Mitochondria are the cells that convert oxygen into energy. So we couldn't live without it, humans have been called carbon based lifeforms, so is this to assume our DNA is carbon based? Is it possible for the Mitochondria to be silicon or sulfur based?
