Thank you for mentioning that infernal sticker! It was kinda, really annoying! I hit it with a hair drier and managed to get it off and all the sticker crud without hurting the book. It worked like Magic.
I happen to know how to remove and restore antiques and it was a huge pain in the but. Lol! It's good to know it wasn't just me!

Pro-sticker-remover-person here, I accidentally found something that works quite well with stickers that tear. Read on and don't laugh. It's going to sound stupid but an eye makeup remover works amazingly. I always have one for removing waterproof makeup, it's a type that has one kind of fluid floating on top of the other? The one I'm using is by Nivea, it's called Double Effect Eye Make-up Remover (removes waterproof mascara). The reason this works is because of its oily properties, but it works way better than say, olive oil on its own, or acetone, which does remove glue but will ruin the surface on most things. Shake the bottle, put some remover on a cotton pad and gently scrub in circular motion until you remove the glue and the leftover sticker. Afterwards I just clean the surface with a window cleaning solution. Hope this helps some of you out there :)

By applying the Principle of Rythm there is a trick to the removal of the sticker, and the slower or more carefully you go the more likely the sticker will tear, I could go into it but I managed to get the sticker off in one go and without using a solvent or leaving any glue residue.
The book is fantastic and your review solidified my decision to purchase it, I've since read through it several times and enjoyed it immensely.

Awesome to see your review and this wonderful book republished in such a nice format. I have the original 1908 first edition of the Kybalion (together with dozens of other original copies by the Yogi Publication Society). Back in 2018 it all started for me with precisely this book, this is what got me onto the Path. I still feel deeply grateful to William Walker Atkinson, without whom I would never have gotten to where I am today. So funny how things can go in life, like how I only recently discovered your channel through your reviews on the works by Frater Acher and Quareia - which I also study - as well as many other similar interests in books we seem to share. I just received my copy of the Kybalion. The binding is magnificent. To remove the label, I pulled it lightly in a corner and then slowly pushed it with my fingers to roll up the label. Thus the nails do not come into contact with the cover.

I went to Barnes and Noble kind of spontaneous and I was NOT expecting them to have this book and The Secret Teachings of All Ages, I was planning on not buying anything but I bought both. I actually peeled the sticker while watching this. I would say I was lucky mine was pretty easy to get off although at the very end (on the top) it tore so I had some white paper from the sticker so I scrapped it off with my nail. The residue is annoying though. I'm excited to read this.

A hair dyer works wonders for taking stickers off of books. Just heat up the glue and pull. you might have a bit more sticky residue to clean off buy the sticker should come off in one pull.

Great idea about the hairdryer to remove the sticker. I use a lighter to heat up small sections of stickers, especially on glass jars, and peal it off in sections but I really like the hairdryer technique better. Great idea!

For the removal of nasty stickers.
Eucalyptus Oil is in my opinion the easiest, safest and best product for the job, dissolves the glue/gum with ease.
May require more than one application but has never failed me.
I hope this is of some help.

For anyone interested: I live in Sweden, where it is cold now. I just walked home with this thing from the post office, about a 10 minute walk exposed to the cold. I peeled this thing right off. Slowly and very meticulously, sure, but not a single tear. Cold might also do the trick. Or I might've just been quite lucky.

Do faux leather (or vegan as stated on the amazon page) last? The book is beautiful but I'm worried the 'leather' would just deteriorate and break apart if keeping it years on the shelf.

Here’s a tip for tearing off those hard to get stickers ; put a hair dryer on medium temperature and blast the sticker for about a minute, this should warm up the glue and make it easier to remove
