Howard County students to learn while they earn in apprenticeship

A group of Howard County high school seniors is part of an apprenticeship program that will allow them to earn while they learn an important trade. When considering a signing day, many things come to mind — sports or college, but certainly not high school. Almost 50 students converged Tuesday at Howard Community College in Columbia for apprenticeship signing day, making a commitment to take part in a paid, supervised, structured, on-the-job training program while also attending school.
