Oh my god my baby in kindergarten now they are not hitting none of this home work they have none but sight words and books to read how he is struggling in sound blends ect where do we start reading writing and math is not done I know it not all on the teacher but it would help if the work given is to prepare him for 1st grade not to fail and get frustrated with over load of work

I have a question. Is it okay for me to move my daughter on to the first grade? My daughter is 4. She just finished up with a kindergarten curriclum. however, she has been reading for the better part of the year. She can read on her own as well. She is also writing very clearly I often times find her doodles around her workbooks. We did go over writing exercises A-Z and she has assigned vocabulary and sight words every week along with first reader books that she flies through. Math wise she is adding and subtracting with counting tools and can write the numbers up to 20. She also knows 2d and 3d shapes. I find myself having to switch to more advanced curriculum material all the time because she learns concepts very fast. Is this a risk to her or okay to take the next step up. She has become very uninterested with kindergarten materials of tracing and letter sounds. counting, tracing numbers and coloring exercises. She knows the dates and months of course along with telling time. 1/2 past quarter till stuff she doesn't know I've never taught this yet.

Some of your questions can’t be answered because some kids are on the spectrum and they cannot concentrate for that long. Their attention span is low but, they are homeschooled . So I do believe this video does not apply to everyone. Good tips though.
