Ranveer Singh Dil Dhadakne Do Is A Very Special Film

Ranveer Singh finishes his last day of shoot on Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do today. The actor will wrap up the shoot for this film and then head into the prep forSanjay Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. Before getting into the Bajirao mode, Ranveer spoke to us exclusively on his experience of working on another special film – Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do.

Here’s what Ranveer had to say, “Ritesh and Farhan have gone all out. And Zoya, what’s amazing about her is that impeccable credibility that she brings in the mainstream space. It’s never been done, the way she does it. She and Reema (Kagti) are brilliant in their writing. There are very few directors like Raju Hirani, Zoya and Reema, who go into a lot of detail. So when Zoya offered me this film, it was an instant yes, because it was a brilliant piece of writing. Zoya’s films remind of those Woody Allen films. She creates quirky characters in real space. She has a great understanding of human emotions and relationships. And that is what DDD is all about. It’s about relationships within a family. Be it Shefali Shah or Anushka or Priyanka, the entire cast contains of strong actors. I think the way DDD has shaped up, it will be really special.”

Dil Dhadakne Do also stars Shefali Shah, Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma. The film released in June 2015
