There's a pepe's in airdrie main street and it is nuts. Genuinely one of the best food places in the area.

I prefer Pepes to Nandos. The Nandos sauce tastes a little bland now. I love the extra hot sauce which is nostalgic for me. It reminds me of the sauces you used to get from Dixy back in the day lol. Love that stuff. Dont bother buying a bottle in store to take home. It tastes like sh1t. Its not the same sauce they give you with your food.

I got food poisoning from Pepe’s two weeks ago, and still I’ve not fully recovered….

A lot of their workers are newly arrived from India/Pakistan so they have no food hygiene standards…

When I got my food I can see them cooking raw food that was touching cooked food they took out and served…

Nando’s is a proper franchise with standards it has upheld for over a decade…

My local used to be the best however in the past 3 4 times i had it was absolutely sh.t undercooked hard chicken for some reason it felt like it was cooked then put in the fridge then they warmed it and put marinate on
