We are two non-indigenous friends from Winnipeg, Manitoba. We live on Treaty One territory.

We acknowledge that the work we do is located on the original lands of the Anishinabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene people. We are committed to a renewed relationship and dialogue with First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples based on the principles of mutual trust, respect and reciprocity. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past and we dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

We learned these games from the High Five resource produced by the Northern Sport, Culture, and Recreation District and our experiences in class.

A link to written instructions for these games and many more can be found at:

Hello,

I am part of a research team working on a project called Kids Action Coaching. We are creating a bank of physical activities that parents and coaches can do to support the physical, cognitive, and social development of children with neurodevelopmental and intellectual disabilities (NDID). As children with NDID are often excluded from participating with their peers in school and in the community, we are aiming to build the capacity of families and coaches to help children with NDID to learn fundamental movement skills and participate in physical activity. We would, of course, reference the link to your video in our online and paper materials. Please let us know if you approve of us using your video (or portion of video) for this purpose. Thank you for considering this request.

Thanks!
Janice
