The magnet thing is because there is a magnetic sensor to tell when the phone is closed. So when you are closing the phone, the magnets in the phone engage and this signals the phone that it is closed, so it shuts off the inner screen and switches to the outer screen. By putting a magnet up to it, you are triggering that sensor so the phone thinks you closed it. If you kept the magnet there and pushed the power button again, The little outer screen would come on, rather than the inner screen, because the phone would think it is still closed.

The magnetic solution is better than having some sort of internal wired switch, because those can deteriorate or break, which would cause a lot more issues.

I was thinking of trading my fold 4 for 14 pro max then I open it up and I have to think twice. It's great having the big screen especially for photos and watching videos.

I'm an iPhone 12 Pro Max user who's planning on upgrading to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 next year when it's released. I'm hoping Samsung will find a way to incorporate their best cameras into the next generation of Z Fold but I'm not counting on it. One other thing I do wish is that Samsung would add is S Pen support to the cover display. Sometimes you just want to whip out the phone and jot down a quick note or something.

Try to use the remaster feature on your pictures bro, it helps a lot with our kind of skin tone. Also, I used to be Team No Case until I got my Z Fold 4 😂😂😂 I just can't risk it lol

I prefer no case as well, but with the high prices of these phones, I would put a case on. I know myself, if I drop my phone and see scuffs and scratches, it would bother me and I would end up buying a new one. So for my sanity, I need to put on a case

I didn't rock a case with my iPhone 13 pro Gold but the only reason I use a case with my flip4 is there's a lot of dope cases for this phone

FYI:If you leave the brightness set to Auto on the Z Fold4 it gets brighter then the Extra Brightness setting..

Really want to get one, however I see a lot people complain about the inner screen got the black line in the middle of the inner-screen after 1 year using from z fold 1-3
