The "original" engine they show is in a B**** Mini, not a Morris Minor. Just doing a refurb on my 1973 MM, needs a bit of smarten up after 51 years, be good to get it through to 2075.

I think the design is too close to the original model, inside and out. The 2025 Morris Minor is more a updated 'comeback' model than than a retro model.

The thing for me that ruined a lot of British cars was their awfull rear end profiles (and I'm British). They seem to have a thing about low rear ends (eg. Austin Allegro, Morris Marina coupe). Why is the boot so low? Looks likes someone's sliced off the upper half of it's rear. Any 2025 version needs to sort that out, give it a 1947 Triumph Roadster boot. All that upper space at the back going to waste, just air. I bet the original has a tiny boot space. A high profile at the rear would not only make it look MUCH better, and give more boot space (for no extra length), but I reckon it would also be more streamlined. Less of a shear drop at the back, cause slightly less vortex, or give it a fastback like the Volve 544. Got to do something about that terrible rear end, sod whether it is then a genuine retro version, an update should be an improvement on original.
