Should colleges and universities simply drop the humanities, as some legislators have suggested? Elizabeth Say, Dean of the College of Humanities at California State University, Northridge, has some pretty strong opinions on the subject. In this installment of "Think CSUN," Dean Say explains how a broad-based liberal arts education helps prepare students for real world success.

The dilettante nature, and lack of articulate phrasing within your response further supports the need for the humanities. I think you would benefit greatly from an english class. Furthermore, reference Jane Straus so that you may more properly use punctuation.

She contradicts herself in her argument for a strong humanities education when in the beginning she says "the humanities does" and then goes on to say "the humanities are". This university dean needs to learn how to correctly conjugate her verbs
